Kilpatrick Drive, Bearsden

Project Requirements

The scheme required the replacement of ageing water infrastructure using a combination of pipe bursting and open-cut techniques while maintaining customer supplies and minimising disruption.

What We Did

JPS Utilities completed detailed site investigations and trial holes before commencing works. Our team managed customer engagement, implemented traffic management measures and installed temporary bypass arrangements to maintain network operation throughout construction.

Using both pipe bursting and open-cut methods, we installed new sections of HPPE barrier pipe and completed 29 service transfers. The project concluded with pressure testing, chlorination, sampling and comprehensive reinstatement works including carriageways, footpaths, tracks and landscaping.

The Outcome

The upgraded network provides improved reliability, enhanced water quality protection and increased resilience for customers across the Kilpatrick Drive area.

Our Projects

We support a wide range of water and utility projects across Ayrshire, the Central Belt and further afield.

I’d like to say that I was very impressed by the guys that were on the job. The work area was tidy and safe with the barriers up. Kept me up to date with progress when I stopped to speak. The job was quickly completed and left incredibly tidy with grass turned back in – you wouldn’t know they’d been there!
