Project Requirements

The project involved the renewal of over 200m of water main infrastructure and the transfer of 20 customer services to improve network reliability and future performance.

What We Did

JPS Utilities carried out extensive trial hole investigations to confirm the suitability of the proposed rehabilitation methods. We managed customer communications throughout the project and maintained all traffic management requirements.

A temporary bypass system was installed to maintain supply while pipe bursting and open-cut techniques were used to replace sections of the existing main. Following installation, we completed testing, chlorination and sampling before undertaking full carriageway, footpath and track reinstatement works.

The Outcome

The completed rehabilitation programme delivered a modern, resilient water main network with minimal disruption to customers and improved long-term service reliability.

Our Projects

We support a wide range of water and utility projects across Ayrshire, the Central Belt and further afield.

A Word From Our Clients

I have always found the team to be reliable, efficient and highly skilled. JPS have delivered complex design solutions involving large, regulated operators such as Scottish Water and Scottish Power to the highest standard. I have always found JPS to be value for money and would highly recommend their services.

Consultant

I’d like to say that I was very impressed by the guys that were on the job. The work area was tidy and safe with the barriers up. Kept me up to date with progress when I stopped to speak. The job was quickly completed and left incredibly tidy with grass turned back in – you wouldn’t know they’d been there!
