Hareshawmuir Road, Pump Kiosk Installation

Project Requirements

Community Windpower required the installation of a new 63mm water main, service connections and a booster pump kiosk to improve network performance and ensure a reliable water supply for properties served by a private supply system.

What We Did

Working closely with Scottish Water Local Networks and Development Operations teams, JPS Utilities managed all aspects of the installation. This included customer liaison and supply interruption notifications, traffic management throughout the project, and the installation of 3,500m of 63mm HPPE barrier pipe and 2,500m of service communication pipe.

Our team completed 13 new service connections, carried out pressure testing, chlorination and water sampling, and undertook full carriageway and verge reinstatement using hot rolled asphalt. We also installed and commissioned the booster pump and kiosk before providing WIRS-approved as-built drawings.

The Outcome

The completed scheme delivered a reliable new water main network and boosted water pressure across the area, improving service quality for connected properties while ensuring compliance with Scottish Water standards.

Our Projects

We support a wide range of water and utility projects across Ayrshire, the Central Belt and further afield.

Consultant

I’d like to say that I was very impressed by the guys that were on the job. The work area was tidy and safe with the barriers up. Kept me up to date with progress when I stopped to speak. The job was quickly completed and left incredibly tidy with grass turned back in – you wouldn’t know they’d been there!
